July 8, 2008

I am in Russia again. There is a place called Unona. I am not talking about YOU, Nona! AnywActive Imageay, this place is a bazzar park. Everything from pipe fittings to jeans. They have computers and software and lots of cell phones and cameras. Some call this "Black Market" but I think it is different now than it was maybe two years ago. Right now I am sitting in a small GPS store that happens to have lots of free things for me. Internet being one of them. It is your lucky day because I get to ramble on while I am online. I am waiting for a guy named Andrew to come help me with some software. It is such a trip trying to speak to people who donot speak english. There is this one guy I remember from the last tme I was here. He spoke enough English that I was able to communicate with some of the others who did not. So, when he came in today, I pointed down to his head (because I am much taller) and said, "English, English!" I get such a kick out of myself. Am I normal?

The passengers are quite appreciative of our piano bar this cruise. Many come to sing with me, and many others are also regulars who come to enjoy everything the piano bar has to offer. Tonight was Elton John night and the busiest night I have had this cruise.

June 15 - 16

I am in Norway. It is much colder here, naturally. It is always daylight. The scenery outside looks different than the other cruises I have sailed. The water is rough. The wind is unbelievable when standing out on the deck. It is wonderful to me. It feels like Ii will be blown right off the boat. Today's scheduled music was cool for me. Folks were hanging out watching the sites from the ship windows while I played and sang. I have received several compliments on this cruise. It is funny how many negative comments a group of passengers can generate despite what you hear verbally. I will compare the verbal ones with the written ones that come in at the end of the cruise. I welcome your comments. If you wish to add to this blog just click on contacts and let me know. I will give you blogging privileges.

June 2,
I am in the Piano Bar thinking about my health and the health of others close to me.
I had my blood worked up to give me a picture of what is going on. There is work to be done to get certain levels where they need to be. Nothing is drastically out of whack. I will get the bloodwork again in one month and see the progress.

May 25,
Day at sea on the way back to Greece. This past cruise had some very cool passengers and patrons to my piano bar. Thank you to all of you.

May 18,
Open Mic Night was quite the success. It only took three of us to make it happen. Danny played piano and sang many hits. Corrin did the same and added a special Dutch touch to the sing along. All seats looked occupied to me.

May 16,
A special thank you to all that have kept in touch.
I will try to keep this more up to date, but internet on the ship is dodgie at best.
I enjoy hearing from you all, however.

May 10,
Happy Birthday Mom!
We are in Israel today. I remain on the ship so others can take the tour. I will take my turn next time around. This time around I will have the opportunity to visit Egypt.

May 2,
I am in Athens, and this is a great day.

April 19,
I am in London waiting for a flight to Lisbon. There wasn't enough time to make our way to the departing terminal. It will be a 6 hour wait. I have waited longer. Looking forward to a wonderful day in Portugal - asleep.

Tuesday Apr 22
I went out to town in Valencia, Spain. I try to go to the parts that are not tourist areas to get a better feel. It was nice to just walk the town streets and enjoy the archetecture. On to Barcelona.
